Well its Saturday.. and right now am feeling so tired.. lol. It looks very cold, wet and windy out there.. But that's the usual for Scotland..

I have my nephew down staying.. He takes over pretty much everything.. I have several computers and he some how manages to hijack them.. am also stuck with the cartoon network channel at the moment.

Its always repeats, I've noticed that about most of the other channels they seem to be repeating stuff on a daily basis. I wonder if they just have way too much air time and not enough programs to fill it. Now that most stations have multiple channels..

I planned to check out Technorati today, I also want to figure out bloggers template so I can play about and create my own. Have some fun with photoshop. Providing I have access to the computers!

Time for coffee.. I'm such a caffeine addict you know.

Old Blog..

I found the address of one of my old blogs today.. There is barley anything on it. Just a few stupid poems.

I wondered if there was a way of transferring the blog from that account over to this account..

So I figured out how to do it with a little bit of help from blogger help. It seems a little complicated to do but really its pretty easy.. I did notice however that when I did it, it took about 20mins before the profile links had been updated..

So now ill have that old blog listed under my profile once I enable it laters.. :)

My Pictures Folder

The My Pictures folder.. You know the one i mean.. the one in which you store every image you come across for no apparent reason..

Well today i decided to descend into the anarchy that is My Pictures Folder, I planned to free up some space, of course that never happened..

Lets take a look at some of the stupid stuff i store on my hard drive..

The Project Archive logo i created for my site with Photoshop. Photoshop kicks ass! In the upper left corner there is a poem, but which poem is it ? hehe..

Internet Addiction Part I

It was on the night of August 15th 2005 at 2:15AM that it happened. I remember it clearly; I was sitting with only the glow of the computer monitor to light the room. Engrossed in a discussion on msn messenger with my Internet friends from around the world when it happened.

No, Not again I thought, MSN Messenger is always cutting off while in the middle of an interesting rant about unimportant things.

Retry, Retry, Retry,

Not connecting, Email I thought, I need to Email my friends and let them know that MSN has screwed up once again, we wouldn’t want them thinking something terrible has happened to me.

So I Launched Firefox my chosen web browser only to be presented with..

What! Google.com is offline too, ahh NTL my service provider they screwed up.
I dived down the check the little blinking lights on my broadband modem. There was no connection.

Now what do I do? My heart was beginning to race, Ill call their Service Status Line. And find out if they are having problems, I dive down the hall and grab a hold of the phone and start to punch in the numbers, 0800 --- but then I realise there is no tone.

My phone is dead; NTL who provide the phone line must be having some real problems, now my heart was really beginning to race, my palms where getting sweaty, What now?

My Mobile Phone, Thank god for my mobile phone I turn and cross the hall back into the room in hunt for my mobile phone, after a few minutes of panic I find it. I sat down, Relived I started punching in the numbers 0800 –

What? No. It can’t be, not now, Please no. My Phone signal was at zero. This happens often, no need to panic I thought, ill just nip out side and ill have a signal.

The street was almost dead and quieter than normal, all that could be heard was the buzzing of the street light above me, I peered down at my phone, and still there was no signal. I walk up my street path in hunt for a signal becoming more and more aware of just how quite things are, sure its normally quite at this time but not like this, almost as if something was missing.
It was no good there was no signal. I returned back to the house and tried the landline again, no tone. Back into the room and check the modem, no connection.

As I sat there in the Darkened room feeling empty and as if someone very close to me had just died I decided just to go to bed, am sure whatever the problem is it will be fixed by the time I reawaken.

I think I think I will have to be thinking about getting one of these as it could come in really hand for when am on the go..

A day on the phones..

ME: Hello. Tech support, How can I help you ?

CALLER: Yes, Hi, I have a problem with my mouse..

ME: What seems to be the problem?

CALLER: Well I can click the mouse but I cant move the cursor ..

ME: Please check the base of the mouse and ensure that the little ball is there..

CALLER: ok.. Hold on.. ill go check..

*Several minutes pass*

CALLER: Hi, no there is no ball in the mouse.. Could it have fallen out ?

ME: No I doubt that.. More like one of your friends stole it just for fun..

CALLER: why would they do that and how do I fix this ?

ME: I don't know .. Friends do this sort of stuff all the time.. to fix it, find the little ball and put it back in the mouse..

CALLER: ok.. if I cant find it what should I do ?

ME: Call me back and ill go to the pet shop and get you a new one..

CALLER: Pet shop ?

ME: Yes for a new mouse..

CALLER: right.. ill go look for this thing now.. what does it look like?

ME: A little grey or white ball

CALLER: ok.. ill phone back if I cant find it.. Oh wait.. I found it.. its sitting here on the desk.. am sure it wasn't there a minute ago..

ME: Good.. put the ball back in the mouse..

CALLER: Ok hold on..

*about 8 minutes later*

CALLER: I've done that and now its working ok . Thanks for all your help. Bye.

ME: Your welcome.. Bye..

*Hangs Up*

Typical day on the phone.. very challenging this stuff.. Stressful too..

Stupid Cats..

I heard something .. Its was like a weird scratching noise at the window.. I thought who could be at my window at this time of the night.. And haven't they heard of msn messenger ?

Anyway.. I go over to the window and open the curtain.. Only too.. Almost die.. Huge black cat clawing away at my window..

Gave me the fright of my life..

There should be a law against cats sitting on window ledges late at night..

Email Postage fee.. !

An email postage fee.. Am I kidding ? noooo..

AOL and Yahoo have come up with this brilliant idea to start charging people to send emails..

Does this mean free email is about to disappear of the net ? No.. I doubt it..

So what is it going to cost ? Well apparently it will be up to 1 cent per email.. The main reason behind the scheme I think is too weed out spam emails..

I can see them making quite a pretty penny with this.. As if these companies aren't making enough money..

But really.. Who wants to pay for email when there is millions of free email accounts out there.. And most not riddle with spam like yahoo, hotmail and AOL.. !

Oh well...
